The KNS’s Michael Silence is doing a bang-up job staying on top of the SEC’s new media policy and our bumbling commissioner Mike Slive. I won’t link to any particular post; there are too many. Just go to his blog and scroll through the many updates.

In short, Slive decided the SEC needed even more control. He faced a backlash from that, backpeddled, and has yet to satisfy the critics who rightly point to the new policy as draconian. Those who have bemoaned the supposition that college football is becoming too “big business” like, we have verification.
