This stinks
The hero of many of our childhoods has died. Fess Parker died of “natural causes” today. He was 85.
Parker’s portrayal of Davy Crockett in Walt Disney’s ’50s miniseries made Tennessee’s favorite son a household name for an entire generation of Americans.
Later, he started a successful vineyard in California.
He and his wife, Marcella, have been married 50 years, a rarity for Hollywood stars.
Godspeed, Fess Parker.
